The café that brings food and art alive under the same roof. We are talking about Lulu Café Gallery. The North Melbourne café paying honour to the famous Louise Brooks, one of the original flappers, known for her stunning looks and her distinctive bob hairstyle.
A European inspired café that will make you feel like you are right in the heart of Paris. It is a warm, bright, intimate venue that opens up to a large outdoor private courtyard where you can relax and enjoy everything of what Lulu Café Gallery has to offer.
With years of experience, head chef Kate previously worked at the famous Biltmore Estate in North Carolina and brings her skills to Lulu Café Gallery. Keeping in touch with the European theme of the café, Kate has designed an incredible Parisian inspired menu. Focusing on easy eating and keeping the menu seasonal using local produce as much as she can to ensure she can get the best out of every dish.
The bursting with flavour ‘Baked Eggs’ with two free range eggs baked in a rich tomato sauce with mushroom, garlic and onions served with toast. This dish will keep you going all day!
The classic and mouth-watering ‘Croque Madame’ is always a hit! Brioche bread, shaved ham, Gruyere Cheese and whole grain mustard, béchamel sauce topped with a free range fried egg.
A light and healthy option and of course vegan-friendly ‘Granola and Fresh Seasonal Fruit’ mixed nuts and seeds house baked granola, goji berries, toasted coconut, mixed berry compote and house-made coconut yoghurt.
If you’re popping by for lunch make sure you try Kate’s twist on a classic ‘Grilled Caesar Salad’ grilled cos, house made Caesar Dressing house-cured pancetta shaved Gruyere and croutons.
Serving up Tin Man coffee roasters for your morning shot of caffeine. If coffee isn’t your thing, try one of Lulu’s house-made vet Masla chia lattes or turmeric lattes and fresh organic teas.
Before you leave make sure you head through to the gallery where you’ll find the charming exhibitions from global and local artists!
