What was once a former fish cannery has been transformed into an incredible mind-blowing iconic roastery and cafe that is more than just food and coffee. We are talking about Roasting Warehouse in Melbourne’s north side.

 

Starting up over 10 years ago, the roastery formerly known as Di Bella Roasting Warehouse has undergone impressive renovations and the space has been rebranded as Roasting Warehouse.

 

The industrial open space as you enter offers three grinders which constantly change daily with blends and single origin coffee. You won’t know where to start!

 

Guiding you through to the in-house coffee roasting machine where customers can watch the spectacle of in-house roasting by award-winning roaster Jason Blake and award-winning barista Matt Griffiths as they sip away on the freshly roasted coffee which is roasted daily.

The Roasting Warehouse also sources raw coffee through their Green Bean Direct enterprise which is committed to high-quality specialty coffee with ingredients sourced directly from the farms.

 

Not only does the Roasting Warehouse pride themselves on the incredible coffee they take it to another level with head chef David Reynolds and head pastry chef Rebecca Colley.  Crafting a creative menu that changes seasonally to make sure each dish is packed full of the freshest produce, making everything fresh daily onsite – even all the yummy baked goods.

 

If you have a sweet tooth we couldn’t go past the ‘Rhubarb Two Ways’ and the Slow River buffalo yoghurt, soaked chia, strawberry, dates, and pistachio will have you wanting more!

 

On the savoury side you must try the ‘Good Golly Miss Cauli’ sesame carrot cream fried chickpea curd, crispy cauliflower, lemony greens, kale chios, kasundi and poached eggs

 

OR

 

‘Grapefruit-Cured Salmon’ barley and caraway gribiche, vanilla pickled beetroot, pink grapefruit, toasted linseeds and poached eggs.

 

You can rest assured you are going to be in for a good time when you visit the Roasting Warehouse – make sure you try one of the freshly baked cakes and sweets while you are there!!
