Be The Duck is the newest addition to Richmond. Head Chef and owner Tom Skocic has worked in the industry for over 18 years and has finally decided to open something of his own.

 

The name ‘Be The Duck’ is more than just a saying to Skocic – “No matter how crazy stuff gets, just be the duck. Stay calm”.

 

Skocic worked under the likes of Raymond Capaldi. Capaldi played a influence in Skocic’s cooking, teaching Skocic to believe you can look outside the square and do your own thing.

 

That is exactly what Skocic has done at Be The Duck – The food speaks for itself!

 

The menu changes with the seasons so Skocic can be sure to get the best out of every dish. Everything is made fresh daily including slow cooked meats which go into the daily lunch time rolls.

 

The menu doesn’t hold back will have you coming back for more.

 

The mouth watering ‘BANANA BLUBERRY MATCHA HOTCAKES’  are worth a try for any sweet tooth! Banana and coconut custard, seasonal berries, pure maple and super seed granola.

 

If sweets not your thing The ‘ASIAN CHILLI EGGS’ scrambled eggs with Korea chilli paste, masterstock king brown mushrooms, broccoli, spring onions, pork lardons and prawn crackers. are a must! or the

‘TRUFFLED SWEET POTATO & CORN FRITTERS’ dukkha coasted son in law egg, smashed avo, bacon, corn tuille.

 

The dish with a twist is the ‘THE NEST’ soft boiled mousseline glazed eggs, raw shaved asparagus, grissini, pork floss, grapefruit segments on smashed avo toast. This dish will have you coming back for more!

 

While serving up fresh smoothies and juices made to order.
